Weekending With Wyndham
We recently partnered with Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive to experience even more of what Orlando has to offer. They were kind enough to host us throughout our weekend in Orlando, including accommodations, tickets to The Wheel at ICON Park and SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology, and other amenities. This post is sponsored but the thoughts and opinions shared below are our own.
We’re still alive! Life has been hectic in the Martin household over the past few months, so we figured it was time for us to getaway from the craziness and spend a weekend in one of our favorite cities, Orlando! As you well know, we try to make at least one trip a year to Orlando, but after an invitation from Wyndham to visit their I-Drive location, we decided to jump on the opportunity to go for a quick weekend trip.
We’ve always been a big fan of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. We’ve stayed countless times at Wyndham Disney Springs in Orlando, but this time around, we opted to stay at Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive. This was our first time staying at this resort, and I can confidently say that it will not be our last time staying there - we really loved it!
The location of this resort alone is reason enough to stay there, but when you add in the accommodations & comfort of what Wyndham Orlando Resort I-Drive offers, it’s a prime place to stay when visiting Orlando, no matter the duration of your trip. Two pools, an awesome fitness center, comfy beds.. I couldn’t complain one bit.
This time around, our goal was to spend time at water parks, as opposed to the theme parks, which was such a blast for us. I’m fairly new to the water park game, so it’s still a very new “thing” to me that I now thoroughly enjoy. But, surprisingly enough, there was something new we added to our trip that neither of us have experienced before, even though we’ve brought it up several times in the past that it was something we should do at some point. That “something” being The Wheel at ICON Park.
It just so happens that Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive is quite literally next door to it! On our final day in Orlando, we spent a good chunk of the day walking around all the shops, checking out the SKELETONS: Museum of Osteology (which was awesome), and riding The Wheel. The views from The Wheel were so awesome. You could see all the various theme parks, resorts, and popular Orlando landmarks while going around on The Wheel. Thankfully, it moves at a slow pace which makes it more enjoyable as opposed to a stressful, anxiety-ridden experience. We really enjoyed the views.
All in all, it was a perfect weekend staying at Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive, especially with the trip being planned short notice. We can’t thank Wyndham enough for the hospitality and making our weekend a smooth trip with no hiccups & being able to relax. Jenna & I truly value the time we get to spend together when I’m off the road, and it was a much needed trip for us after how busy our lives have been.
What’s more, Orlando was a perfect weekend getaway for us and we didn’t even go to Walt Disney World or The Wizarding World! We’ll definitely be back soon to get our fix, but like I said - this weekend was pretty perfect just exploring more of Orlando’s offerings.
It’s important to create new memories that we can always look back on and cherish. Our weekend staying at Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive gets added to that memory book.
