Gearing Up For CHOC Walk 2018!

Hey everyone! It's Jenna!

We've just launched our team page for the CHOC Walk in the Park, happening this August (8/26) here in Southern California at Disneyland Park!

Nick just left this morning for tour overseas so unfortunately he missed the media event by mere hours, but I was in attendance (with Dad by my side) to bring to you all the exciting info and plans in store for this year's CHOC Walk!

If you aren't familiar with CHOC or even the CHOC Walk, have a look here. You can also find our full recap of last year's CHOC Walk in the Park here.

If you're not sure what we're talking about, CHOC stands for the Children's Hospital of Orange County.

Really quickly, I want to explain that this is a charitable event to raise funds for the Children's Hospital of Orange County through their partnership with Disneyland, only a 5 minute drive from CHOC. As a non-profit hospital, CHOC relies on community support to provide leading-edge care for infants, children and adolescents close to home. The CHOC Walk fundraising efforts helps to ensure that the Children's Hospital of Orange County can continue to nurture, advance and protect the health and well-being of the children in the community. The minimum donation to CHOC in order to participate in the Walk is $85. It is NOT due upon registration and you absolutely have the option to donate less or not at all - you can still join our team.

What IS the CHOC Walk in the Park? It's a literal walk through Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. It might sound simple, but its a major celebration when Disney pulls out all the stops, your favorite characters, lots of confetti and celebrities to make this the most magical morning of the year! Just watch our vlog from last year's CHOC Walk below!

The CHOC Walk in the Park presented by the Disneyland® Resort brings the community together for one single goal – to raise funds for health care programs, education and research for Southern California’s kids.

With your favorite Disney® characters cheering you on, celebrating children has never been so fun!

This year, we've raised out fundraising goal and started spreading the word early so that we're able to really bring more awareness to this fantastic event and it's truly important cause. This year we're called the Much Love Army and we're inviting everyone (and their family and friends) to join us on this walk through Disneyland Resort!

Let me emphasize these major points...

EVERYONE CAN JOIN OUR TEAM!

It doesn't matter if you know us or not, we are inviting you to join the team. There aren't any requirements or to-do's; just sign up to be on our team here! Upon registering, you'll want to find our team (Much Love Army) at the bottom of your registration page in order to ensure you've join our team. To double check you're on the correct team, go to your 'Team Page' and make sure you see a photo of Nick and I!

YOU DON'T HAVE TO PHYSICALLY PARTICIPATE!

People are constantly responding to me saying "I would but I don't live in Southern California."

We understand so many of our readers, followers and fans are from all over the world - you can still show your support by donating to the hospital, joining our team, and registering as a "sleeping bear". That means instead of being there at the Walk, you'll be showing your support from wherever it is you call home! Even if you live down the street from Disneyland and just can't muster the strength to get up at 5am, you're welcome to show your support as a "sleeping bear" of the Much Love Army. Have little ones? This event is quite literally FOR kids so no matter their age, you can totally bring them! Ages 2 and under are free to attend.

YOU CAN JOIN OUR TEAM WITHOUT DONATING!

Don't have the $85 minimum to walk through Disneyland with us? No problem at all! You can setup a page where others are able to help you through donating in order for you to achieve your goal/minimum to participate/or just donate to show their support! Just some good ole fashioned fundraising! If you're on our team, any donations made directly to you through your page will also count towards the team goal!

YOU CAN PHYSICALLY WALK WITH NICK & I ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT!

Yes! You do get to hangout at Disneyland with us! That's for real. Just ask our team members who joined us last year! We have friends and family who come to join us on this day, so we set a meeting point for all of our teammates and walk together as a group! It's super fun and the very BEST part of the whole day. Go team!

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AN ATHLETE

If you're able to walk through a mall or grocery store, you're 10000% fit enough to join us! Remember: this is an event to raise money for the Children's Hospital of Orange County so there are a significant number of disabled participants, elderly, wheelchair bound and other individuals that require assistance in mobility that Disney takes fantastic care to accommodate. It's not a marathon or anything of that nature. This is an event for everyone.

WE DON'T MAKE MONEY OFF OF THIS EVENT - EVERY PENNY IS CHARITABLE DONATION TO THE HOSPITAL

Why am I saying this? Because asking for money in any form can imply a number of things. When you register, its on the CHOC site and any donation made goes directly to themNick and I do NOT make any money off this event and partnership. We are joining forces with Disneyland and the Children's Hospital of OC to utilize our reach by spreading the word about something Nick and I are truly passionate about. It's so important to help others and show kindness in this world - our intent is to do just that and show our support for CHOC.

Click here to join our team, even if you're unable to make a donation!

The most support we're able to show, the more we're able to inspire those around us and make a difference in the lives of others.

Have questions? Send them our way! We want to make sure everyone understands this is a charitable event meant to bring together the community in order to help the children who find their way through CHOC's doors.
