Mindful Monday | A Note From Nick Feb. 24th

First of all, I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read my Mindful Monday posts.

It really means a lot to me. I’ve taken an active approach to writing more & it’s been a lot of fun doing these while I’m on the road. Mindful Monday posts will now become a regular “thing” that I incorporate into future tours. So again, thank you for reading my ramblings.

I write this to you at 12:03am in Belfast, Ireland from my bunk. We had an incredible show tonight that consisted of playing songs we don’t typically play. In fact, the last 4 shows have been insanely fun to us. We’ve been adding in different songs every single night that haven’t been in our set lists in years. We wanted to make these headline shows really special & we’ve been having a lot of fun doing so. It feels good. It keeps me on my toes and I enjoy the challenge.

We ended the Generation Rx tour in London with a bang. What an unreal experience being able to play Alexandra Palace. I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d ever play there, and to do it with Good Charlotte made it even more special. The history of this building & the people who have performed there is a list entirely too long for a blog post, but I highly recommend you look it up. I watched Good Charlotte’s set after ours and I just smiled like a kid the whole time. These moments of gratitude that just can’t properly be put into words are moments that stick with me the rest of my life. They shape me in positive ways that reflect in every aspect of my life.

This whole tour was a different experience for me. It really kicked off 2019 into high gear, but also, it kicked off the year on the right foot. The last 2 years have been full of a lot of life experiences, in general. It’s tested me, it’s tested my relationships, it’s tested the closest friends around me.. and it’s made me stronger. It’s made the relationships I have with the people around me stronger. It all just feels overwhelmingly positive, like I’m ready to take on the world & anything that comes my way.

I’m excited to get home to my wife & dig in our projects together. Maybe you’ve been seeing some of the Much Love inspired clothing I’ve been wearing on this tour. Well, keep your eyes peeled & prepare yourselves..

We’ve got some news to drop REAL soon.

But, most importantly, I’m just ready to enjoy time at home in our new place together, catching up on shows/movies together, making her coffee in the morning, and just living life together. That’s what it’s all about at the end of the day, really. Just enjoying life. And I’m proud to say that I’m doing just that. Find happiness in the small things, everything beyond that is just the icing on top.
