Date Night : Won't You Be My Neighbor

This post is sponsored by AMC Theatres but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Hey guys! Mr. Nick Martin here.

Hope you guys are doing well out there! Jenna & I have been extremely busy at home together, working on a lot of projects - which has been amazing! We can’t complain a single bit. But, that doesn’t mean we’re not finding time to do some of our favorite things that we look forward to doing when I’m not on tour. One of those things being going to the movies together. When we’re both home, we go to the movies a lot. Like, a lot a lot.

A few months back, one morning we were both in bed and came across a trailer for a documentary coming out called, “Won’t You Be Neighbor?”, about the life of Mr. Rogers & his incredible legacy. Needless to say, we both got emotional watching the trailer and made a mutual, teary decision that it was a movie we had to see once it was released. Well.. it’s out! So, we planned our date night around seeing a movie on a nostalgic, iconic figure that we both grew up loving. Game on!

Here’s an insider secret about us: we love going to see movies at AMC Theatres at Universal CityWalk. AMC Theaters always crushes it and has the most stellar selection of movies available. Since we moved to LA over a year and a half ago, it’s been our go to theater because of convenience, but also because of how comfortable the luxury recliners are, plus the food & beverage choices are top notch. But.. come to think of it.. our favorite theater when we lived in San Diego was an AMC, too. We know what we like and clearly we stick to that. What can I say?

One of my favorite parts of AMC Universal CityWalk, which I mentioned above, is the luxury recliners. Saying they are extremely comfortable is an understatement. It makes the movie experience that much more enjoyable. Hmm.. since Jenna will be reading this soon.. can I get possibly one for our living room? Please and thank you.

Anyways, another one of the biggest perks with buying tickets for movies at AMC Theatres is that you can reserve your seats in advance, which Jenna has learned over the years, is something I appreciate. I don’t like having to get into a theater 30-45 minutes early to score a decent seat. We buy our tickets in advance with the AMC mobile app and your phone becomes your ticket. Too easy. Keeps me happy and keeps my anxiety levels at zero. Haha!

Our experience from the food, to the comfort, to the service, is always amazing when we go there -- but most importantly, it’s always consistent. We’ve created awesome memories there and it’s somewhere we always look forward to going when I get home from tour. Going to the movies has been a big part of our relationship since we first started dating, so our movie experiences are something we look back on and cherish. It may sound cheesy, but it means a lot to us.

Our date night seeing “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” was nothing short of awesome!
