Our Epic Anniversary Celebration with Universal Orlando Resort
We recently partnered with Universal Orlando Resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This post is sponsored but the thoughts and opinions shared below are our own.
If you know us well, you know what our trip to Orlando entails: Universal Orlando Resort. And if you’ve been living under a rock, there’s a new attraction that Jenna & I have been anxiously waiting to ride, which is Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
Now, before I begin telling you about how this is the best ride I’ve ever been on, I want to proudly share that I read the whole Harry Potter series right before I started tour this summer. I had seen all the movies, but reading the books got me fully immersed into the Potter world. So, with my Harry Potter fandom now reaching pinnacle levels, the amount of excitement & expectations I had going into riding this attraction were very high.
Were expectations met? Yes. In fact, they were exceeded!!!
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure (or Haggie’s, as it has fondly been nicknamed) is by far one of the most incredible, one of a kind, intense rides I’ve ever experienced. What I’ve always appreciated about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the amount of detail that goes into any & every part of being there — and let me say, every bit of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was no different. From the entrance, to all the various parts of the queue (both outdoor & indoor), & to the ride itself, I couldn’t recommend this ride more - it is hands-down the best ride Jenna or myself have ever been on! We were fortunate enough to ride it 3 times over the 3 days we spent at Universal Studios Florida & Universal’s Islands of Adventure. And with every single time we rode it, it got better & better. What’s so cool is that you can either ride the bike or ride in the sidecar. Jenna preferred riding the bike. She was great at it. From flying into the Forbidden Forest, to seeing Blast-Ended Skrewts, seeing Hagrid in the flesh, & to all the magical creatures you see along the way, I can safely say Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is now my personal favorite ride. I probably speak for Jenna on this one too.
On top of enjoying everything to do with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, we hit all our personal favorites throughout both parks, including Revenge of the Mummy, E.T. Adventure (Jenna’s personal favorite), The Incredible Hulk Coaster, & The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! (also Jenna’s favorite.. we rode it 3 times) — just to name a few.
This specific trip also marked the first time we’ve ever ridden Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit & it was utterly insane. I see why we’ve always put it off in the past out of sheer fear... because it was terrifying. But I loved it!
On our final day in Orlando, we visited Universal’s Volcano Bay, which became our favorite waterpark after previously spending time there. It was the perfect way to spend our final day there. We woke up bright & early and enjoyed being in the water.. and also being blasted through it. Haha! My personal favorite is the TeAwa the Fearless River; a “lazy” river kicked up about 20 notches. Jenna & I really enjoy the atmosphere at Universal’s Volcano Bay because it’s reminiscent of being in a tropical paradise - like Hawaii, which always brings on great memories for us. We got married in Hawaii, so it’s very fitting.
As I type all of this, I’m racking my brain on when we can make our return trip to Universal Orlando Resort and visit all the parks. Over the years, Universal Orlando Resort has been a destination for us where we’ve created a lot of amazing memories together. Celebrating our anniversary there just adds even more memories for us to look back on & remember. For as much as we love all the rides (and all the food), Universal Orlando Resort is just insanely fun & relaxing for us when we spend time there together.
Universal Orlando Resort family, thank you for having us and we’ll be back again soon!
As a fun bonus, we decided to share these photos which have become a tradition for us. Over the 5 years we’ve been a couple (since our first trip we ever took together) we’ve gone back to recreate this photo.
