CHOC Walk In The Park | 2018
Jenna & I had a talk when CHOC Walk was announced this year about whether or not I’d be up to doing it since I was coming off a 7 week tour schedule that spanned the US & Latin America. My immediate response was that I wanted to do it, no matter what. Doing CHOC Walk is a new Martin Family tradition and I’m immensely proud of that. I flew in from Guadalajara late Saturday night and we awoke just before 3am Sunday to make our way to CHOC Walk. You probably wouldn’t believe it, but we were genuinely happy. Tired... but happy!
Needless to say, CHOC Walk was a success and raised $2.7 million through this year's event!! We were fortunate enough to have an amazing team (Much Love Army) that consisted of both friends & family that helped contribute to this amazing fundraiser. The Walk itself is such a fun way to enjoy both Disneyland & California Adventure. We don't ride any of the rides on the walk, but the Cast Members are all out cheering us on, rides running sans riders, and the energy is truly phenomenal! This was the first time seeing the newly designed Pixar Pier and I proceeded to geek out at the Coco-themed wall. I’m sure Jenna will insert an embarrassingly awesome photo to showcase this... (A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: Hiiiii, it's Jenna. He's right. I put it at the end of this post...)
We want to thank EVERYONE who participated in this with us & donated to the Much Love Army. Didn’t matter where you were in the world, you played a role in directly helping other people’s lives in an immensely positive way. For that, there’s no words to properly show our appreciation.. And, we hope you’ll get involved with us again next year!
MUCH LOVE ARMY 2018
