Boston, We ♥ You!
We recently partnered with Staypineapple during our trip to Boston, MA. They kindly provided accommodations to the two of us during our stay. This post is sponsored by Staypineapple but the thoughts and opinions shared are our own.
For my birthday getaway, we added Boston as the first stop on our high-flying adventure. Why? The food, the weather, Primark, hangout with close friends, & getting some much needed R&R at Staypineapple: A Delightful Hotel. Jenna & I flew off for Boston right after I finished Generation Rx tour, quite literally 5 days later. We’ve enjoyed time spent at various Staypineapple locations in other cities, so we knew that this experience would be equally as awesome as past experiences. We weren’t wrong.
But one of the great perks of visiting Staypineapple is where they’re located exactly. Being located in the South End, it puts you smack-dab in a beautiful part of the city, making it insanely easy to get around & enjoy the finer things of Boston. They intentionally & strategically place their hotels in areas that are near fun, interesting, & historic places to check out that help keep your trip itinerary jam-packed, if you choose to do so. You know how Jenna & I are.. it’s going to be packed full of fun, but on this trip, it was also time for us to enjoy some much needed downtime together in the room. Coming off a long tour, sleeping on a Staypineapple bed is a treat in itself. Then you add my beautiful wife by my side, and it becomes the perfect scenario for solid rest & fun times.
With where Staypineapple was located, we were able to get around easily to all the places we wanted to make sure we visited. Primark is one of those places. We are avid fans and our closet clearly proves that fact. The first night we arrived in Boston, we ate this amazing bar/restaurant attached to Staypineapple called Trophy Room. After enjoying ourselves there & getting our second wind.. we made our way over to Primark. On our quick trip over, we thoroughly enjoyed all of the Christmas decorations throughout the city of Boston. There are not many cities I’ve traveled to in my life that compare to how heavily decorated Boston is around the holidays & we loved every bit of it since we countdown the days until Xmas every year.
Needless to say, Primark was a success on night one and we subsequently returned the following day to make sure we covered all ground in there — yes, it’s THAT big. Specifically, that shopping area was a lot of fun to walk around and one spot we had on our to do list was the Thinking Cup, which was a coffee shop with great reviews. We loved it so much, we went there multiple times on our trip and tried different treats everyday to start our day off the right way.
Some other spots we had on our Boston to-do list involved, you guessed it.. FOOD. We were told to visit the Waterfront / North End area which definitely felt like a very well-preserved, historic area of Boston that seemed untouched by major food & clothing chains. It was a lot of fun just walking around with our camera & snapping shots along the way. We stopped into Mike’s Pastry, which was recommended by many locals & fans on our social media pages. To be completely honest, we didn’t have the greatest experience visiting there, but all was redeemed when we dined at an authentic Italian restaurant called Al Dente with some close friends of ours. Talk about an area that felt like being put back in time — we loved it so much. After dinner, we walked with our friends over to Faneuil Hall, looked at all the Xmas decor, & watched a Xmas tree light show to finish off the night on the right foot.
Having Staypineapple be our “home base” on this trip made our vacation that much more enjoyable. Their boutique hotels are top notch as far as hospitality & coziness are concerned. From their awesome beds, to room amenities (we particularly enjoyed the comfy robes this time around), to modern decor — it’s hard to compare Staypineapple to any other boutique-style hotel.
We hear Staypineapple is opening a New York location in Midtown Manhattan early 2019.. sooo.. maybe Jenna & I are already talking about making a trip out there soon..
